Programs And Events

The Kappa Chi Chapter has been very active in implementing its own unique programs on The University of Tennessee campus.

Our events serve as vehicles to serve the campus community and enhance student life.

Sigma Week

Each year, the chapter holds a Sigma Week, a week full of activities and events which enables it to showcase to the campus what Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is all about on an inclusive basis. While our chapter programs grow and change as new, creative, and innovative brothers come into the fold, Some of these chapter programs have included:

Miss Phi Beta Sigma Pageant

Miss Phi Beta Sigma Scholarship Pageant It's time for a new kind of pageant. The chapter is currently seeking talented and intelligent young women of talent and poise to participate in its Inaugural scholarship pageant. A grand scholarship prize will be awarded to the victor as well as other valuable prizes for the other contestants. The winner will advance to compete on the Regional and possibly, National level.

Sleepout for the Homeless

Sleepout for the Homeless A national Phi Beta Sigma initiative. The brothers discover first-hand what it is like to be homeless by sleeping outside throughout the whole night. We accept clothing gifts, and monetary donation that supports Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries throught the weeks leading to this event.

R&B Study Night

R&B Study Night combines academic focus with community building in a relaxed, soulful atmosphere. The brothers create a welcoming environment where students can hit the books while enjoying classic and contemporary R&B music that sets the perfect studying mood.

This unique program features interactive study games that make learning engaging, delicious breakfast foods to fuel late-night study sessions, and a supportive community atmosphere that encourages academic excellence. Whether you're cramming for finals or working on group projects, R&B Study Night provides the perfect blend of productivity and fellowship that embodies our commitment to scholarship and brotherhood.
