History

Since the Kappa Chi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on the University of Tennessee campus in 1979, our brotherhood has played pivotal roles in numerous facets of UT life. Our brothers have held memberships in SGA, Black Cultural Programming Committee, NAACP, Student African American Brotherhood, UT football and track teams, Collegiate Black Christians, and numerous others. Several of our alumni have also graduated and moved on the successful lives and careers after college and still hold the spirit of Kappa Chi dear in their hearts. The Chapter motto is "The Ball is Rolling."
